Aim: To evaluate fluconazole resistance among C. tropicalis by broth micro dilution methodand relative expression of ergosterol(ERG11) gene in resistant and sensitive Candida tropicalis. Methods: The study design was comparative conducted inMicrobiology Department UHS.A sum up 66 confirmed isolates Candidatropicalis were attained from Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. fluconazoleresistance the determined microdilution ERG11 analyzed real time PCR, Microbiology UHS. Results: antibiotic susceptibility testing C.tropicalis showed fifty one sensitive, eight susceptible dose dependent seven resistantC. Relative ofERG11gene anincrease about 2.0 fold than isolates. Globally, albicanswas most frequently isolated species but now there is a decline trendwith increase figures for non-albicans species. Thesenon-candidaalbicans are emerging as cause serious ailments. This sixty six method. Further on molecular it noticed that these have increased mRNA levels this compared to strains. Conclusion: found be fluconazole.
